Taking control over your health, changing your diet or beginning to exercise is definitely a lifestyle alteration that comes with trial and error. Sure you can research recipes or trending workout routines in alignment with your goals, but why not make it easy on yourself and keep it simple? I’ve found that taking my wellness journey one step at a time has inspired my consistency to continue greatly. Listed below are three simple hacks to help you lead a healthier life.
1.) WATER - Drinking more water, at least 1 Gallon a day, can significantly change the way you feel. Why? Our cells require certain quantities of it to help our bodies function properly. On top of us being composed of 60% water, our kidneys alone filter 120-150 quartz of fluids per day. So to keep them from failing, as well as the rest of the body, we have to assist our self cleansing system by monitoring our hydration daily.
2.) FRUITS - Our bodies have hundreds of unique chemical reactions taking place every second, for its optimal functioning we need an ample amount of nutrients ingested each day. Including fruits into your frequent snacks, smoothies, and meals can help replenish your system with the most under consumed nutrients such as dietary fiber ( found richly in the skin of fruits promoting proper digestion & excretion for our bodies) , potassium, vitamin C, and folate. Refuel your system by heading to the produce section of your local grocery store today!
3.) STRETCHING - Still haven’t joined a pilates or yoga class yet? You’ll get there, again, take it a day at a time. In the meantime, stand where you are, bend over slowly, and reach as far as you can. Make sure to breathe deeply as you do so. Repeat process in different directions. Return back to normal stance.
Stretching often, preferably everyday, can transform your entire outlook on life. How? Not only is it important for flexibility and range of motion, it’s a major contributor to health and body functioning. Here’s a short list of benefits below:
- Ensures correct posture
- Increases stamina

- Increases blood flow to muscles
- Reduces cholesterol levels
